Mariah Carey's daughter Monroe got to meet President Barack Obama while her mommy performed at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Dec. 6.

"What an honor to kick off the holiday season with the First Family," Carey tweeted after the event along with a photo.

In the picture, the All I Want For Christmas singer held her baby girl as Obama greeted her with a big smile. At the event, Mariah stunned in a custom-designed short white Herve L. Leroux dress.

Mariah Carey & Her Family Celebrate A Festive Thanksgiving

Monroe's twin brother, Moroccan, wasn't there to meet the President because he was reportedly at home with his dad Nick Cannon.

Mariah spoke about how her family plans to spend this Christmas holiday when The Today Show visited her home on Wednesday.

"This is going to be the first year they really understand Christmas in a vague sort of a way. They don't know the total story, but they know Santa Claus," she said about her twins. "Nick loves to dress up, wake us all up at 6 a.m. banging pots and pans. It's not fun. I'm begging him to not do that this year."
