A new photo from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past was released this week, featuring a tease of two fan favorite characters.

The photo, published through Entertainment Weekly, features Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) lying on the ground while Beast (Nicholas Hoult) hangs above him. See the photo here.

X-Men: Days of Future Past features an all star cast that includes actors from every X-Men movie, including the aforementioned Jackman and Hoult, Halle Berry as Storm, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman, Daniel Cudmore as Collosus and more.

James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart play younger and older versions of Professor X while Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen play young and old versions of Magneto.

"It's not a reboot because there's some of the same characters and same actors," director Bryan Singer told Entertainment Weekly of the new film. "But it's also not a conventional sequel-I call it an inbetweequel."

Which X-Men Villain is Returning for Days of Future Past?

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be emotional, according to Singer, who explained, "These are very big emotional stakes as well as, you know, cool giant robots and superpowers." The new film involves traveling back into the past in order to save the future of the mutant species.

Singer had previously teased that the upcoming Days of Future Past film would be leading into the next X-Men film, which is allegedly titled X-Men: Apocalypse.
