'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' Car Crash UPDATE: Mama June & Family Recovering From Injuries [VIDEO]
Honey Boo Boo's family is recovering following a Monday night car accident.
The stars of TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo suffered no serious injuries as a result of the crash, but those involved were still nursing some bruises on Tuesday.
Mike Thompson (also known as Sugar Bear), Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo), Lauryn Shannon, Jessica Shannon, and June Shannon were all in the family vehicle when the incident occurred. According to TMZ, the crash took place when Mike was turning left at a green light and a truck, which was traveling without headlights on, came from the opposite direction and hit the car.
The family headed to the hospital and Lauryn told TMZ that Sugar Bear left the wreck with a contusion on his back, Mama June had a neck sprain, Alana was experiencing headaches after hitting her head against the window, and she had bruising on her chest.
Mama June took to Facebook on Thursday to update fans on the situation.
"Alana headaches r gone and she is doing better...as for me Mama Jun I'm still very sore with my head and back...[Lauryn] is still having difficulty with her chest bruising and now is having severe headaches...Sugar Bear back is still sore," June wrote. "Will be getting checked again in couple day to b on protective side."
