Even with Tina (Michelle Keegan) leaving Weatherfield, Peter (Chris Gascoyne) still finds himself desperate to know what's going on with her on Coronation Street.

Coronation Street: Monday, Jan, 6, 2014

After hearing the girls at the factory talk about Tina's departure, a rattled Peter will seek out information from Liz (Beverley Callard) in the Friday, Jan. 10 episode. Their conversation will become heated, drawing suspicion from Carla (Allison King). When she demands Peter tell her what the argument is about exactly, he may be forced to tell his new bride the truth once and for all.

Roy (David Neilson) is on the verge of an emotional breakdown as Hayley's (Julia Hesmondhalgh) condition worsens further, prompting the doctors to prescribe more morphine for the cancer-stricken woman. He becomes even more stressed when he goes to the supermarket to buy his wife the strawberries she has come to like, but he soon learns that the only food Hayley can bring herself to eat is sold out.

He finally finds a package that is out-of-date, but when he is denied the chance to purchase those, he tries to make a run for it as security trails behind him. Roy may be forced to return home to his wife empty-handed.

The Grimshaws are also learning to deal with their own crisis. Tony's (Terence Maynard) appearance back in town has rattled them all to their cores, especially Jason (Ryan Thomas).

Jason decides to give his father a chance after some encouragement from Eva (Catherine Tyldesley). He then realizes he told his father to meet him at the Bistro the same time Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is throwing Todd (Bruno Langley) a special birthday dinner at the restaurant. The family could react badly when they learn Tony has been inadvertently invite to their special meal.

Coronation Street airs Friday at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on ITV.
