Queen Elizabeth's husband Prince Philip was hospitalized today with a bladder infection.

Prince Philip, 90, was taken to King Edward VII Hospital in London as a precautionary measure after developing a bladder infection which is being assessed and treated, Palace officials announced today.

"Prince Philip will remain in hospital under observation for a few days," the statement said.

The Prince and Duke of Edinburgh missed Monday's Diamond Jubilee Concert and will miss Tuesday's engagements.

Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Tom Jones were among the performers Monday at the Jubilee concert outside Buckingham Palace.

Many members of the royal family were in attendance, including Prince William and his brother Prince Harry.

On Sunday, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth lead a pageant in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee along the River Thames in central London.
