Former *NSYNC member Lance Bass has released his first song in 12 years.

The single, called Walking On Air, will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, but the first listen is available now on E! News.

The song is a collaboration between Bass, Anise K, Bella Blue and rapper Snoop Dogg.

Bass revealed that he's been trying to get back to music, but there wasn't anything that he enjoyed lately.

"For the last two years, I've been listening to demos, just trying to figure out if I want to get back in the studio," Bass told E! News. "I haven't heard anything that resonated with me. But a couple of months ago, a track from Anise K landed in my lap from a friend of mine and he was like, 'I think this will be your first song.'"

The new single portrays a dance beat that could play in a club, which is something Bass was looking for.

"These days, songs have to be played in clubs and this is one of those songs that you'll definitely hear in the club," Bass said. "I'm sure it will be remixed so many different times."

Bass also mentioned that he has no plans of getting back to the stage although that plan might change depending on how well the song does.

"I'm going to release it and if people love it, hopefully it will climb the charts," Bass said. "I'm just going to play it by ear."
