Though fans of the Seattle Seahawks are celebrating the team making it to Super Bowl XLVII, other football fans are more enthralled with the team's cornerback, 25-year-old Richard Sherman.

The player has made headlines since the NFC championship game on Sunday, Jan, 19, when his team defeated the San Francisco 49ers 23-17.

After his team clinched the title and a spot in the Feb. 2 game against the AFC champion Denver Broncos, Sherman gave a bizarre interview to ESPN's Erin Andrews, where he claimed that 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree had trash-talked him.

Since the interview, not only has Sherman been dealing with negative press about the rant, but so has his girlfriend, Ashley Lillian Moss.

Not much information is available about Moss, though according to Fabwags.com, the pretty 25-year-old is from Redmond, Wash. and has held a job as a waitress at Joey restaurant.

A LinkedIn profile for an Ashley Moss in the greater Seattle area claims that the user is a cosmetologist, but it is unclear if that Moss is Sherman's girlfriend.

It is also unclear just how long the couple has been together, or how they met, though Ballerwives.com reports that the couple have been spotted out together for over a year at different outings and charity events.

As the media has swarmed Sherman, Moss has subtly defended her boyfriend on her twitter page, retweeting one of Sherman's tweets the day of the interview, as well as thanking those who have supported the couple the last few days.

When a user named Mostly Bryan tweeted Moss and said, "Been praying for you two. Hope you are weathering the absolute craziness that I'm sure is enveloping your world! Hang in there," she replied by saying "appreciate you! : ) "

She also responded to tweets from two other fans who have since expressed their dismay over the negative publicity Sherman has received.

"You two are probably the most beautiful couple I've ever seen," a fan tweeted Moss before adding, "I've been upset all day over the things people have said to him! He's done so much good and doesn't deserve any of this."

"@Ms_Moss22 please tell Richard that I think he's awesome & don't worry about no haters or ignorance. He's the man! Keep doing his thing," another fan tweeted her.

Sherman and the Seahawks will take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVII Sunday, Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, N.J. The game will air on FOX< with kick-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
