As if The Real Housewives of New Jersey Giudice family didn't have enough on their hands as Teresa and Joe face fraud charges, their 13-year-old daughter, Gia, came under fire earlier this week for using a gay slur on Twitter.

In response to a tweet from another user that read, "I miss texting you every day," Gia wrote, "who's this chick u little f----t" for her more than 97,500 followers to see.

The tweet has since been deleted.

Still, the slur is no stranger to the Giudice family. Gia's father, Joe, confessed to Bravo host Andy Cohen during a The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion special, that he has used the word in his everyday language since was a little boy.

"Growing up, we always used the word. We call each other f----t, homo or whatever. Doesn't mean anything. We were friends. We call each other names all the time," he said. "It doesn't mean we're gay. We just would use that word for whatever reason. That just was in our vocabulary...It was just a word that everybody used."

He went on to say that he refrains from using it now "because it's not appropriate and people don't want to hear that."

Teresa and Joe are consistently making news as updates concerning their fraud trial is released.

During an interview with ABC News this week, Giudice revealed that while Gia, who is their oldest of four, doesn't know the specifics, she does understand that something is happening.

"My oldest knows something's going on. But, you know, we say, "Mommy and daddy, you know, have a legal team that's handling it," she said.

While her actual trial will not be aired on the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey because of the production schedule, Andy Cohen recently revealed that the drama surrounding it will definitely have camera time.

Teresa was recently dubbed the highest paid housewife in the New Jersey series and the second highest in the entire Bravo Housewife franchise following Atlanta housewife Nene Leakes. A report that came out late last year revealed that Teresa brings in $650,000 for each season, plus bonuses. Former cast member Caroline Manzo is next at $400,000 while Teresa's sister-in-law and frenemy Melissa Gorga comes in third after making $300,000 per season. Jacqueline Laurita brought in $275,000 each season. While Kathy Wakile's salary was not published, it's said to be much less than the other ladies.
