While Justin Bieber continues partying it up, he's said to have a little sympathy for his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, who recently did a quick stint in rehab, Hollywood Life reported Saturday.

"He feels bad about her situation," a source told the site.

The Boyfriend singer hasn't been able to speak with her to see how she's doing since she checked into rehab in for "young adult issues" about a month ago, but the source added that the Biebs also thinks Gomez should be able to take care of her issues.

"She's got to control it and know her limit."

Still, another insider claimed that while he's been seen getting cozy with model Chantel Jeffries, there's a possibility he and Gomez will rekindle their romance amid both of their high profile issues.

"He's acting all tough, saying he's over her but it's obvious that he's in a lot of pain over this. Selena and Justin are not in contact at all right now but I'm sure that will change. Eventually one of them is going to give in; they really do love each other."

Gomez made headlines after it came out she received treatment at Dawn at the Meadows in Wickenburg, Ariz. She is said to have been battling alcohol, pot and Rx Ambien.

While it's still not clear what sent her there, rumors continue to swirl that Bieber's alleged intimate relationship with 23 singer Miley Cyrus played a huge part.

A source said that while Gomez attended group sessions in rehab, she named Cyrus quite often.

"She kept talking about a girl named Miley-- a friend of hers who betrayed her by hooking up with her boyfriend behind her back. Dealing with stories about Justin's random hookups were bad enough, but hearing that he was involved with one of her closest friends was the ultimate betrayal for her."
