While some media outlets said Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling called it quits, the Place Beyond the Pines co-stars continue to keep fans guessing on the state of their relationship.

Eva Mendes Refuses To Comment On Relationship With Ryan Gosling?

Mendes, 39, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday and joked about her relationship with the 33-year-old Crazy Stupid Love actor when the host asked her about her Valentine's Day plans.

"I'm not a big Valentine's Day person. I'll probably just order a deep dish and watch The Notebook or something...just cry, weep," she said.

Ryan Gosling Dumped Eva Mendes For Rachel McAdams?

Her comment may have intended to poke fun at the rumors that she and her rumored on/off beau, who cemented his status as a Hollywood heartthrob in the 2004 Nicholas Sparks adaptation film, had split yet again.

The couple, who met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines and went public with their romance on a trip to Disneyland in 2011, have remained notoriously private about their relationship, and are rarely seen together in public.

Mendes has often clammed up in interviews when asked direct questions about Gosling, citing in a September 2013 interview that she was a "weirdo" who lived in a protective bubble that she created for herself.

Split rumors started in November 2013, when Us Weekly reported that Mendes had "jealousy issues." Reports also surfaced around that time that Gosling was considering rekindling his relationship with his The Notebook co-star Rachel McAdams, whom he dated for several years after the film was released.

The latest round of rumors broke last week, when In Touch and Life & Style both printed stories saying the couple had split due to differences in lifestyle choices.

"Eva loves Hollywood, the parties, the glamour. She loves going out," a source said.

The actress' reported love for the spotlight was a major contrast to her beau, who is considered a homebody.

The same reports also cited conflict in their plans for the future, and whether or not they would get married and have children. Mendes has said in the past that she doesn't really think she'd want to be a mom, while Gosling has said that he would "make movies until he made babies."
