Black Swan star Natalie Portman revealed some information on whether it's possible for her character Padme Amidala to make an appearance.

Considering that Amidala died in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, it creates an unlikely chance that Portman's character would be in the seventh installment. Portman seems keen that this theory is true, which leaves her disappointed.

The Black Swan star was asked what she thought of the film's plot when she revealed that she's looking forward to it.

"I am so excited about them," Portman said. "I think J.J. Abrams is such a talent and I can't wait to see what he does. I am only sorry that my character died, which means I can't be in them. I saw him somewhere and I said, 'How did this happen? I can't believe I'm not going to be in the movie.'"

While it's unlikely that Portman will reprise her role as Amidala, other famous actors who are rumored to have a place in the film include Michael B. Jordon, Judi Dench and Zac Efron.

On Friday, The Hollywood Reporter announced that recording mixer Andy Nelson revealed what it's like to work alongside Abrams in the new "Star Wars" flick.

"He can communicate fairly quickly with us, and we can move the soundtrack in the direction he wants," Nelson said.

"I could never have imagined that I would end up working on feature films with those stories," he continued.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
