Lady Gaga performed a controversial and arguably her most gruesome stunt yet, but one celebrity wasn't impressed -- Demi Lovato.

Lovato took to Twitter to express her disdain for Gaga's decision to invite artist Millie Brown on stage with her during her performance at South by Southwest on Thursday and get vomited on.

As Gaga drummed on stage, Brown stuck her fingers down her throat and expelled colored goo all over the singer.

"Sad... As if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eat disorders already," Lovato tweeted on Friday. "Bottom line, it's not "cool" or "artsy" at all."

Some Twitter users attempted to defend Gaga and pointed out that the 27-year-old struggled with an eating disorder herself in the past.

To that Lovato responded, "So it's cool if I do a speech about self-harm and then proceed to watch someone cut themselves on my stage? No. That doesn't make it OKAY."

Others also justified the actions of Brown, who is known for creating paintings with her own vomit. The eccentric artist swallows dyed soy milk and then regurgitates them on a white canvas.

"Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences," Lovato fired back.

Lovato, who once struggled with an eating disorder and self-harm issues, explained her position on the matter even further with a lengthy Twitter post.

"Young people who are struggling to figure out their identities are seriously influenced by the things they see their idols do. Whether we intend to or not, artists influence people of ALL ages and unfortunately what people see, people do," the singer wrote.
