Co-star Vin Diesel was inconsolable at his friend's death. As reported on E! he tweeted about it:

"When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle back to LA... drove directly to his parent's house... His Father said, Paul loved you Vin... I awkwardly and nervously said, aw come on... then he said... you don't have to get along every second to love each other... so true. P.s. After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids."

Recently, Vin Diesel posted pictures of himself working with Paul's brothers on set.

A rep for Universal Pictures released a statement to E! News, saying, "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
