The cast for Star Wars: Episode VII was announced earlier this week, and it's been claimed that some more big names could join the cast.

Concept Art Will Be 'Amazing?'

On Friday, The Hollywood Gossip mentioned that Neighbors star Zac Efron could join the cast along with Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o. According to the site, some names might be kept a secret for the sake of a surprise.

Some fans and a source close to the production are reportedly claiming that there is evidence suggesting that the two actors could be playing big roles in the film.

Episode VII Will Be Explored In 'Deeper Ways?'

Both actors had been rumored for parts even before the latest cast members were announced; Nyong'o reportedly met with director J.J. Abrams before she took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The confirmed actors at this point include Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver and Max Von Sydow. Cast members from the original Star Wars films are also expected to make appearances, including Anthony Daniels, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and Mark Hamill.

There is currently no word on who the new actors will play, but Abrams announced that he and the cast are looking forward to entertaining the fans.

"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII," the director said. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
