In recent updates surrounding Fast and Furious 7 star Paul Walker's death, Kristine Rodas, the widow of Rick Rodas, who was driving the Porsche with Walker in the passenger side, has sued the automobile giant for the accident.

Although the cause of death had been established as driving at an "unsafe speed" Kristine is contesting the verdict and blaming the vehicle for the accident. She claims that the car did not have the requisite safety features and failed the duo in their time of need.

It is also being alleged that the car did not have a "fuel cell" which is a norm in most racing cars.

Rick was racing the car betweeen 80 and 93 mph -- the speed limit on the road was 45 mph -- when the car hit a pole and a couple of trees causing it go up in flames.

In February, the autopsy report revealed that the actor was still alive right after he suffered the immediate impact of the car crash. The actor was alive for a while through the intial trauma after the accident.

Last Leg of Filming Begins in Los Angeles?

Walker died on Nov. 30 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was the passenger in a car being driven by his friend, race car driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the accident. The speeding car hit a tree and instantly burst into flames, causing both the actor and Rodas to die on the spot.

The 40-year-old actor was halfway through filming Fast and Furious 7.

The film will hit theaters in April 2015.
