Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII, but it looks like he may only stick around for that film and not for any more Star Wars sequels.

Episode VII Will Be Explored 'In Deeper Ways?'

On Monday, Metro reported that the actor made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival where he was apparently suffering a momentary hearing loss. This seemed obvious when he was asked about his plans to appear in more Star Wars movies when he said, "I'm sorry?"

He didn't say anything about coming back for upcoming sequels, but he did mention how he feels about being a part of Episode VII.

Downton Abbey Actor To Be In Episode VII?

"I'm just delighted to be involved. We haven't started filming yet, but we have a great script and a wonderful cast," Ford said. "J.J. Abrams is a director at the top of his game and I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great fun."

As noted in a report from Entertainment Weekly, there was a time where the actor did not seem that excited over the idea of playing Han Solo again because apparently he felt like the character was already done.

"He's got a good heart, but I think he's certainly a much less interesting character than Indiana Jones," Ford said during a previous interview. "The breadth of his story utility was never extensive. He was the foil between the other more compelling elements of the film, between the sage old warrior and the young hero. There's not much breadth of character to explore what we got out of him."

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
