Just weeks before Rookie Blue makes its fifth season debut on June19, a sneak peek gives fans a behind-the-scenes look of upcoming episodes and reveals that a key storyline will be the now infamous Andy, Nick, Sam love triangle.

Andy Ruins Relationship With Nick for Sam?

In a new commentary video, Ben Bass who plans Sam, opened up about his character's complicated relationship with Andy.

"Andy is a once in a many lifetime connection. In order for these two characters to work together, they're going to have to change."

Andy Tells Sam 'I Love You'?

It looks like that change will definitely come as Sam returns to work after being shot and notices that the police station looked different.

Andy tells him, "Maybe it's you."

While Sam is caught up in Andy's huge decision, fans will also get a look into his family that has been an ongoing mystery.

The season has been given the title, "Life is Not a Fairytale" and that's exactly what the main characters have learned five years into their police officer careers. But ironically, the key lessons they have engraved in their minds is more so in their personal lives rather than their careers. The season kicks off with Andy having to balance and choose between Nick and Sam.

Sam is now fighting for his life after he was shot in the season four finale; causing Andy's feelings for Sam to resurface (despite having moved on with Nick) and making it even more difficult for her to choose between the two.

Rookie Blue returns to ABC June 19 at 9/8c.
