Rumors have circulated around Lupita Nyong'o landing herself a part in Star Wars: Episode VII, which turned out to be true, and the actress revealed how she feels about it.

Episode VII Will Be 'All About Action?'

On Tuesday, E! News posted a brief interview with the Oscar winner who made an appearance on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards in New York City. She was asked if it was hard for her to keep her Star Wars casting news a secret since people have been speculating it for a while.

"There was a rumor sometime back and that wasn't true," Nyong'o said, mentioning that it wasn't that hard for her to keep it a secret since it was only a rumor.

"But I was cast some two weeks ago," she added.

The actress agreed that it's a celebration to be cast in the film and that she's "glad it's out."

Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie has also reportedly been cast for the film along with Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac and several more. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are also set to reprise their roles as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia, respectively.

In a report from The Telegraph, Fisher revealed that she can't say too much about the film.

"I have to censor myself, which is not an impulse of mine," she said. "It's literally like D-Day. If the Nazis find out we're coming...! But I understand. There is just this insane interest. People grew up with these characters, so it's their childhoods."

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
