Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's divorce is moving faster than anyone could imagine. Katie Holmes has already moved into her own place in New York City. Holmes and her daughter Suri will be moving into a beautiful building in Manhattan's chic Chelsea neighborhood.

Moving her and Suri into their own bachelorette pad is the first step in rebuilding her life after filing for divorce from her husband of 5 years. Sources say she has leased a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath apartment for $12,500 a month. Christopher Hyland, Chairman of Hyland Software Inc and the publisher of Hyland, a magazine for iPad , will be Katie's new neighbor. He owns the  4,000-square-foot pad on another floor which is currently on the market for $23 million. He told E! News in an interview that it's "a joy" to have Holmes in the building

"She is a jewel and class act. This building knows celebrities from the day it has been opening ... the list is long. It is like Hollywood in the east," says Hyland.

According to reports, the building is the perfect match for the single mother. It comes equipped with security and staff, private laundry, cleaning and concierge services, a gym, a rooftop deck and a playroom for children.

Holmes seems to be dealing with this new chapter in her life pretty well. In a interview with Elle magazine that will arrive on newsstands July 17, Holmes implied that her 30s have led her  in "a new phase."

"I definitely feel more comfortable in my own skin," she told the magazine, according to the New York Post's Page Six. "I feel sexier. I think in my 20s, it's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out ... I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."
