New 'D.C Ambassador' And 'Politician' Being Scouted For Next Chapter Of Show?

A new report also tried to guess Frank Underwood's fate by following the storyline Frank Urqhart from the BBC original. While it suggests that the two shows have a very different feel obviously owing to the fact that they are aligned to the political system of either country, different stylization and format. But yet there are many similarities when it comes to the protagonists attitude and approach. The report also points out that the most recent development in Frank's polticial career is met with disconcertion by congressional members.

But it seems like that Underwood is going to need to wash off some more blood as time moves along. In the British series Urqhart also gets rid off his close aide, Tim Stamper, who threatens to expose Urqhart's other murders. Could it be that the Tim Stamper of the American series, Doug, will still be alive and Underwood will be the one who will actually put an end to his life.

Kevin Spacey Says Show Will 'Go On For A While' Amid Rumors That This Might Be The Last Chapter?

Doug's fate on the show was also being discussed, but in a recent interview, Michael Kelly, who plays Doug revealed that he might be returning. In the last season Doug was hit on the head with a rock and left for dead. Doug is Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) right hand man and also plays Rachel's lover on the show. He was also known to manipulate her. Most viewers were left wondering if this was the end of his character on the show.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Kelly revealed that even he wasn't sure if he was returning on the show.

Orange Is The New Black Beats Netflix Political Drama on Social Media?

"I don't know -- they haven't officially said," Kelly said. "And with television contracts, as an actor, when you sign those contracts you sign for a long time. So technically they still own me, but I don't know yet."

So it seems like there is a decent chance that he might be coming back as his contract is still on and Kelly has also been desperately trying to find out.

"I've tried a lot [to find out], are you kidding me?" he said. "I wanna know! You go to the writers' room and there's black tarps over everything. You don't get to know anything."

Kelly is nervous about how things might pan out and while he would love his story arc to continue he is also prepared for the end.

"I have my fingers crossed," he said. "It's my best job I've ever had and the greatest people I've ever worked with. We can be hopeful but if not, it was an incredible job."
