Aquaman will be appearing in Batman v Superman, according to a new HitFix report, and he will be played by Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones). The report claims:

"While Warner Bros. hasn't made that announcement officially yet, HitFix can confirm that he will be playing the part, and that Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon."

Commissioner Gordon Slated To Appear in Batman v Superman?

The report elaborates that Aquaman will not have a major role in the film at all, but that he will at least make an appearance. The water-inclined superhero will allegedly be one of many who are not too happy with Superman's (Henry Cavill) path of destruction at the end of Man of Steel.

The publication is hearing that "he is not pleased about the World Engine and what it did to the Indian Ocean."

As far as Momoa's casting, Enstars previously reported that he had been rumored to be playing the character, but nothing had been confirmed ever since.

Momoa joins an all star cast that includes Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's butler.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
