In the interview with The Wrap, Mihok revealed what, in his opinion, were the reasons for people who hadn't watched the show before to try it out. As the premiere of the second season is just around the corner, Mihok stated that there were some pretty solid draws for first-timers. First he made an appeal in earnest

"If you like great acting, and dark, yet awkwardly amusing writing and depth of character, this show is for you," he said.

And then he went on to give an even more enticing reason which would get viewers hooked:

"Not to mention watching Jon Voight half-naked, smoking a joint while dancing with a black prostitute," he added.

The actor also spoke about the challenges of portraying Bunchy on the show.

"I think it was consistently skating the line between the comic and the tragic, fueled by a deep self-loathing and desperation to be seen," he said.

But Mihok also had good fun filming for the show.

"Bunchy has had many fun moments this season. Riding a Raleigh Chopper old-school bike, wearing cutoff gloves was pretty fun," he said.

The second season of Ray Donovan will premiere on July 13.

Ray Donovan will air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
