Teen Wolf's Malia Tate has found her mate, or so to speak.

Will Derek Hale's 'Exciting Romance' Involve Braeden? Jeff Davis Hints At Possibility

Beacon Hill's newest werecoyote is slowly adjusting to human life, but Peter Hale's daughter has only connected with one person, and that is Stiles (Dylan O'Brien). The rest of the pack she would just leave to die in the desert, unfortunately.

Thanks to this connection, however, Malia (Shelly Hennig) will quickly begin to assimilate and adopt the rules of civilized society.

'Romance Takes A Back Seat' For Lydia On 'Teen Wolf'; Stiles & Malia Won't Have An Easy Relationship

"In Season 4, you see her accepting being human, and I think a lot of that has to do with the connection that she has with Stiles," Hennig told Hollywood Life. "Coyotes are very faithful and loyal animals, and she finds her mate. Apparently, coyotes find their mate, and they mate for life, because they are loyal. So, she found her partner, and it's Stiles, and luckily he reciprocates; with that, she becomes loyal to the pack, because it's important to Stiles."

As viewers learned in "The Dark Moon," the romantic aspect of Malia's relationship with Stiles also has a calming effect. Perhaps the teen has found her anchor.

"For Malia, this is the first guy she's made a connection with," explained series creator Jeff Davis, according to TV Line. "You could say she made many connections, possibly, in the woods, but we don't really know what happened to her in the nine years she was a were-coyote. This is the first real human connection she's made."

Malia needs Scott's pack more than she will originally realize. The newest Hale will certainly need support from the side of the angels when she inevitably comes face to face with her devilish father.
