Despite Daryl (Norman Reedus) being one of the main characters on The Walking Dead, it looks like fans might witness a part of him that could lead to pain, suffering and possibly death.

Season 5 Release Date Accidentally Gets Announced?

On Monday, Entertainment Weekly posted a photo from the fifth season that shows Daryl looking beaten with a black eye and a nasty cut above his eyebrow. He's covered in sweat as his mouth is gagged and he's staring upwards as if he's begging for mercy.

This picture can create a lot of questions, including if the Terminus members are the ones doing this. And will Daryl be able to escape this torture? It's possible that could happen, but the look on his face doesn't give much hope for anything good.

Season 5 To Have Something 'Slightly Familiar?'

Reedus recently spoke to Gold Derby about how anything can happen to the characters, which is what makes the show the way it is.

"It's a lot like real life, you always think you have more time with people and you think you have more time on the planet, and that's sort of one of the themes of our show is these are your two feet on the ground and what are you gonna do with your time?" the actor said.

Reedus went on about how pretty much anyone can be the next to die, which should leave viewers prepared.

"Everyone's infected and you know, everyone's clock is ticking so I think it's definitely one of the themes of our show," he said.

The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere in October on AMC.
