Sara Lance aka the Black Canary's, who is played by Caity Lotz, exit was suggested in season 2 of Arrow. But a new report suggests that there still might be unfinished business, as Sara will be returning in the premier of season 3.

First Look Photos From The Set Feat. Oliver And Laurel Revealed

On July 15, Screen Crush revealed that the former Canary will be making an appearance in the first episode of the next chapter. TVGuide also has some inside information that Sara is set to return. The executive producer of the show Marc Guggenheim also affirmed this via Twitter on July 15.

This will bring about an interesting twist as the synopsis of the first episode, titled The Calm, revealed that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will finally be taking Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) out on a date. TVGuide also speculated that something like this could spur jealousy in Sara.

The Atom To Romance Felicity Making Oliver Jealous In Next Chapter?

In the season 2 finale Sara passed on her black canary jacket to her sister Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and many had assumed that this was the end of her character on the show.

But in an interview dated June 24 with TVLine Colton Haynes, who plays Roy Harper on the show, hinted at the fact that Sara will be returning but things might change. 

Sara also rejoined Nyssa and the League of Assasins after letting go of her alter ego as the Black Canary.

"I think we'll definitely see Sara back," Haynes said. "I'm not sure how soon, but obviously, when she does, we might see different facets of her."

Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW.
