It seems like Peter Quill, a.ka. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) may have bit off more than he could chew with this bad guy.

'Guardians of The Galaxy': Is Nathan Fillion The Only Cameo Happening in The Film?

In the first clip from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Quill is in the middle of stealing a relic when he is ambushed by Korath (Djimon Hounsou) and his crew. Korath does not seem to know who Quill is and the altercation ends with him knocked over.

The clip does a solid job of using a point that many have seen so far in the trailers and expanding it a little, while still leaving a lot of the battle left for the final product. It also is a nice reminder of the humor of the film (Quill calling the guard a "ninja turtle") and shows that Guardians of the Galaxy is as funny as it is action-packed.

Was 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Star Chris Pratt Almost in 'Avatar' and 'Star Trek?'

With Comic-Con coming up, and a release date of August 1, this is the first of what should be many more clips as Marvel tries to sell the general public on this oddball group of heroes.

Directed by James Gunn from a script by Gunn and Nicole Perlman, the film features Star-Lord teaming up with a group of criminals, including Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Drax (Dave Bautista) to rid the universe from Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). The film also stars Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin as the voice of Thanos.
