Young and Hungry is one of the hottest new shows on ABC Family and Wednesday night it gets even hotter when Jesse McCartney guest stars.

Ashley Tisdale Engaged to Musician Christopher French

McCartney plays computer genius Cooper Finley who ends up getting very close with Gabi (Emily Osment). Actress Ashley Tisdale also produces Young and Hungry. Tisdale says she's incredibly involved in the creative process for the show.

"I'm completely involved behind the scenes. In fact I just walked off set," Tisdale told Bello Magazine (Via Just Jared). "I'm there every table read, and I'm there every Friday night for their show night. It's great to get to a place where I now have the confidence in myself as a producer, especially with this project."

Tisdale reveals that ABC Family actually wanted her to play the main character of Gabi, "I just kind of really wanted to view myself as a producer for this one, and not be the driving force behind it," she said. "When they picked up the pilot, it was then that I knew that it wasn't about me being in it, and they believed in it as much as I did. I was like, 'Ugh, oh my God, yes!'"

Osment (best known for Hannah Montana) ended up as the main character on Young and Hungry. Osment was actually just nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Star, Female and the show was nominated for Choice Summer TV Show against Baby Daddy, Girl Meets World, So You Think You Can Dance, Under The Dome, and Wipeout.
