Chris Brown is focused on his music just as he promised.

The 25-year-old finally announced via Instagram that his long-awaited sixth album, X, will drop on Sept. 16. He also included the album's cover art, which shows the singer with blond hair and smoke coming out of his mouth.

The album was expected last summer, but was postponed due to the singer's legal troubles. Brown was arrested in March after he reportedly violated the rules of a court-ordered rehab facility. On May 9, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin also ordered Brown to stay in jail for 131 more days after the singer admitted that he was involved in a fight last year in Washington, D.C., which violated the rules of his probation.

Upon his release from jail on June 2, Brown quickly let fans know that his mind was on his career.

"Humbled and Blessed," he tweeted a few hours after leaving jail. "Back to the Music and the Fans."

Brown released his latest single, New Flame featuring Usher and Rick Ross, in late June, while his single Loyal recently hit platinum status.

On Aug. 2, the singer also shared a photo on Instagram, which shows him in court, along with a personal message.

"I been through a lot in my life. Made a lot of mistakes along the way. But through it all I've always been true to myself and through God I've been able to take care of my family! I should regret some things but I think the lessons learned will shape me into a real man. I'm grateful and appreciative! Thank you for life!" he wrote as the caption.
