Lucy Hale has already revealed that she auditioned for the part of Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, but now the Pretty Little Liars actress is spilling more dirt on the audition. Hale revealed to Cosmopolitan in the latest issue, which she covers, the audition was "uncomfortable" for her.

"It's exactly what you thought it would be: a big monologue but very, very sexual ... there were some things that I was so embarrassed to be reading out loud," she said, "but it's one of those things where you have to commit wholeheartedly or you're going to make a fool of yourself." Hale didn't end up getting the part, which went instead to Dakota Johnson.

"It actually was just me [in the audition]. It was a two-page monologue of exactly what you would think it would be," Hale said about the process back to MTV in June.

What Dakota Johnson's Next Film Role Is After 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Instead of filming Fifty Shades, Hale worked on her country album, which is her true passion. "So many people didn't want to touch the project with a 10-foot pole," Hale told Cosmo. "Literally, I had people laughing and saying, 'You're making an album? Good luck.'...But if you sit down and talk music with me for 10 minutes, you know that's my passion."

Hale's album Road Between came out this summer and she is currently promoting it all over the country. Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays on ABC Family and Fifty Shades of Grey is set to come out in 2015.
