An insider has revealed that Hollywood Exes star Nicole Murphy and her now ex-fiancé Michael Strahan were on the outs when she was spotted on a getaway with NBA star Jim Jackson, weeks before she and Strahan's split.

They told Hollywood Life Wednesday, "She and Michael weren't even connecting then. They have been off for a long time."

Still, the insider has confirmed there is no validity to the speculation that Murphy and Jackson were on a romantic vacation together.

"That [encounter] was pure coincidence. It wasn't like she sat down and planned some romantic vacation with him. She didn't know he was going to be there."

They added that Murphy was actually on a girls trip and the ladies "were all in the cabana, having cocktails and catching up."

They went on to maintain that Murphy would never commit infidelity against Strahan, despite the couple experiencing issues in their relationship.

However, witnesses, including hotel workers, claimed to TMZ that they spotted the rumored couple being affectionate with one another and sharing kisses and hugs in Puerto Rico July 7-10. Another source also told the site that while Strahan knew about Murphy's quick girl trip, he had no clue about Jackson being there.

As for Strahan, he was spotted for the first time since the split in New York City Tuesday night. He had a guys night of his own at STK downtown with his male friends and female personal trainer.

A source said he was "all smiles all night."
