Agents of SHIELD has cast Kyle MacLachlan as Skye's father, but when the two will meet remains a mystery.

Ward Will Not Become The Punisher On 'Agents Of SHIELD', Will He Escape Custody?

The Twin Peaks actor's newest role was announced on Thursday, according to TV Line, which means it probably won't be too long before the baddie shows his face. Agents of SHIELD began shooting on July 24, and if the series is filming season 2 in order, MacLachlan should enter the storyline in episode two or three.

Unfortunately, MacLachlan's casting announcement didn't provide any hints as to what type of monster Sky's (Chloe Bennet) father - and Skye - really is. Powerful enough to take down an entire Chinese village and a SHIELD team, the 0-8-4's parents are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Luckily, viewers will learn about Skye's past as the character goes digging in the upcoming season.

"The show is getting a little bit darker, it's a little edgier and you'll see that as we progress it will be crazy," Bennet said, according to The Star. "Skye finds out a lot about her family coming up, or lack thereof. She doesn't know where she's from or if she's human, or alien, if she has powers. She has no idea, so we'll be seeing a lot of her finding that out"
