McGraw has jumped back into the acting once again this year with a part in the upcoming George Clooney science fiction mystery, Tomorrowland. The musician took a bit of time to discuss his experience in the film industry with Great American Country on Monday, claiming that he has never taken the method route.

Does that mean he's unwilling to try it? Not quite. But will he be trying it anytime soon? Not likely.

"I think I would probably like to do that [method acting]," admitted McGraw, "If I didn't have anything else do it, and it was something that was really a part that you completely got immersed into, maybe a historical figure or something like that."

In recent years a number of big name actors have "immersed" themselves in historical roles, including Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role of Lincoln in 2012 and Meryl Street as Margaret Thatcher in the 2011 drama The Iron Lady.

"I can see doing that," continued the country star, "And I probably would like to. I don't know that I have the concentration to pull it off."

Tomorrowland is scheduled to hit theaters May 22, 2015.

McGraw's new album Sundown Heaven Town comes out September 16, 2014.
