While there are some actors who shouldn't reprise roles from the first three Spider-Man movies, Alfred Molina is not one of them. Actually, he is probably the one actor many would love to see back as Doctor Octopus and it seems like the actor agrees.

Will Someone Rise From The Dead In 'Sinister Six?'

In an interview for his new movie Love Is Strange on Monday with Collider, the actor opened up about his experience with Spider-Man 2 and whether he would want to return as the tentacled villain.

"That was the most fun I think I've ever had on a movie of that kind, you know, those big, big sort of features where you spend like six months hanging off a wire, you know, and that stuff," Molina said.

Will A Spider-Man Villain Return To Summon The 'Sinister Six?'

"But it was the first movie of that kind that I've ever been involved in. I had a wonderful time. I loved it. I mean, I'd go back and do it again in a heartbeat."

Molina did note that he understands that there hasn't been much character overlap with the two series as they recast both Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy for the re-boot so while he would like to, he added that "the thing is, no actor owns those roles."

Molina was a bright spot for the franchise and helped to make Spider-Man 2 one of the better superhero movies yet. It would be great to see the actor return in the role, but he makes a good point about recasting and not owning the role.

Sinister Six is set to open in theaters on November 11, 2016.
