The upcoming episode, titled Walk this Way, of season 2 of Ray Donovan, will mark the TV directing debut of Liev Schreiber, who also plays the titular character on the show.

James Cochran Is "An Odd Mirror Image" Of Ray In Showtime Series 

On August 19, The Wrap reported the news of Schreiber taking on directing duties. The actor has had directing experience before but in film, with Everything is Illuminated.

Here's the official synopsis for the episode:

Liev Schreiber Was "Giggling Through The First Two Episodes" Of Season 3 Of Ray Donovan  

"Tension runs high when the whole Donovan family come together for Conor's birthday. Meanwhile, Ashley's stalker returns and her boyfriend demands that Ray get rid of him; and Ray sees Cookie Brown when he shows up to take Bridget out for a night."

The preview clip for the episode begins with Abby (Paula Malcomson) and her lover engaged in foreplay telling each other about how much they missed the other over the last night. Ray's call interrupts them, as he calls to check where Abby is as it is their son, Conor's (Devon Bagby) birthday.

The video also features a family get together on the occasion and Conor insisting that he will not celebrate if his grandfather, Mickey (Jon Voight) won't show. Cut to a scene where Abby is found out as her daughter, Bridget (Kerris Dorsey), is seen asking her if she is having an affair.

The second season premiered on July 13.

The next episode of Ray Donovan will air on Sunday, Aug 25 at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
