Although Rita Ora is known for her glam look, the singer and actress kept it "plain and simple" for her role in Fifty Shades of Grey as Christian Grey's sister Mia.

While promoting DKNY's MYNY Fragrance last week, the Black Widow singer revealed her beauty secrets for the film to The Hollywood Reporter. "Fifty Shades, for me, was a completely different world; I didn't have any beauty rituals because I didn't really know what was going on!" Ora said about playing the character. "I honestly went in there blindfolded, but came out feeling like an actress. I worked among some incredible actors, and just to be part of the phenomenon was enough of a compliment for me - I didn't care if I had one line in the movie!"  

In the film, Ora sports a "brown wig" and "rosy cheeks and simple lip."

That's different than Ora's Video Music Awards look Sunday night. The singer donned a red sexy dress with a very high slit on her thigh. Ora posted a side-by-side of her look on her Instagram page.

Ora certainly looked good, but based on her beauty regimen she also probably smelled good last night. . "I mix my fragrances with body oils - I love body oils, so that's my little trick," Ora also told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's the first thing I put on when I get out of the shower. Then I cream my body, and then I put spray on, and then I put on underwear, and then I put on clothes and then I spray again."
