Aisha Tyler Could Appear In New Episodes Of 'Penny Dreadful'

"Tomorrow is technical recce day… for Season Two," tweeted director James Hawes on Sunday. "The hard work starts now… #Penny Dreadful".

While the cast has been worried about divulging spoilers, the crew has reveled in the opportunity to share glimpses of the partially-formed sets over the last month. Hawes, producer Christopher King, and make up artist Sarita Allison have been particularly giddy in voicing their enthusiasm.

'Penny Dreadful' Gets A 'Posh' New Set For Season 2

"One of my favorite #makeups," dished Allison on Twitter Friday alongside an image of Frankenstein's "creature" Caliban (Rory Kinnear), who requires the most extensive prosthetics of all the leading performers on the series.

Allison returned to Twitter on Saturday to voice excitement over a very special day. "Today is known as #FrankesteinDay, to honor #MaryShelley's birthday #PennyDreadful" declared the makeup artist.

Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) and Caliban will certainly have their hands full this season. Now that Caliban finally has his "bride", new issues of morality will be brought to the surface as Frankenstein deals with having killed Ethan Chandler's (Josh Hartnett) love in order to do it.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
