The Real Housewives of New Jersey has shown the aftermath of Teresa & Joe Giudice's guilty plea to federal fraud charges like loan and bankruptcy.

Teresa & Joe Giudice Settle $13.5 Million Bankruptcy

The reality TV couple faced lots of backlash and rumors after their plea back in March. In a clip of Sunday's episode Teresa chats with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga about her and Joe's legal woes. Teresa and Joe's oldest daughter, 13-year-old Gia, was sitting in the living room and overheard her mother's conversation.

She asked what she and Gorga were speaking about. While Teresa tried to protect Gia from "any stress that's out there," Gia made it clear that she knew exactly what was going on and could handle it.

Teresa told her, "Things happen in life. Now mommy and daddy have to deal with it the best that we know how. I just don't want you and your sisters to be affected by it."

Still, Gia pried for her to tell her what she was talking to Gorga about before she let out tears. Teresa immediately went to hug her and they cried together.

She told cameras, "I don't wanna see her cry. So I'm like 'Why? Why did this have to happen?' So I'm in mom mode. I just want to love her and keep her safe. I wish I could take your pain and I have it. It breaks my heart."

Teresa and Joe will be sentenced on September 23. After reading Teresa's statement in the same episode, her lawyer said they hope to get probation. Take a look.
