The cast of HBO's quietly successful gay dramedy Looking continues getting bigger as it prepares for season 2-and it appears the romantic entanglements for the characters are going to become even more complicated in the new season.

Daniel Franzese Joins 'Looking'

Following the casting of Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese (who fans of the show believed was cast to romance Agustin-Frankie J. Alvarez), the show has now added Crossbones' Chris Perfetti and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's Bashir Salahuddin.

Perfetti's character is reportedly set to play the character of Brady, an opinionated San Franciscan who writes for the weekly paper when he's not busy managing its classifieds, who is set to romance one of the series regulars.

Salahuddin, meanwhile, is set to play Malik, a man working in the mayor's office who is also set to sweep someone else their feet.

While the new reports won't confirm who Brady and Malik are set to romance, an earlier report in July about the show adding more diverse characters previously spoiled that Brady would be Richie's new boyfriend. Malik's romance has not been revealed.

That July announcement also revealed a character named Sammie, a trans man who lives at the shelter where Agustin gets a job, though the actor playing him has not been announced.

Franzese joined the series inn a multi-episode arc, in the role of Eddie, who is also a new love interest on the show who works in the non-profit community.

The cast also grew within the number of series regulars, as previous stars Lauren Weedman, Russell Tovey and Raul Castillo were also all promoted for the new season alongside original regulars Jonathon Groff, Murray Bartlett, and Alvarez.

Looking season 2 premieres in 2015.
