Josh Murray took to his Facebook page September 5 to post a video update on season 3 to his fans, confirming that filming had already wrapped, and Lil' Bit's absence from the new season did indeed mean that the new episodes would be blissfully drama-free.

"Hey guys, Murray here. I'm a little bit drunk, I'm gonna be honest," he says in the video. "Not gonna bulls-t you man, just got finished shooting season 3. Everybody's been b----ing about the drama from season 2...GONE. You ain't gotta worry about it. This was my favorite f---ing vacation yet. "

He also continued later on to promise fans that watching the third season would be worth their time.

"Coming up January, y'all tune in. You won't regret it, I promise you," he added.

The location for the show's third season has yet to be fully revealed, though the production crews reportedly had several problems securing a location where they were warmly welcomed by people in the town.

Reports earlier in July indicated the show was actually filming in Mississippi, at bars and locations in Ocean Springs, Biloxi, and St. Martin/D'Iberville, though it is unclear if that was genuine.

In August, Lil' Bit announced she was quitting the show, citing safety and religious concerns.

"...do ya ever wonder if there's something I see y'all don't see??? #dontjudgeme #idowhatsbestforme #judgementcall #likemeornot," she tweeted after the news of her departure broke August 3rd.

Party Down South season 3 returns in January, though CMT has not revealed an official premiere date.
