Tyler Perry just confirmed that he is expecting a child in the near future. In a new interview, he also confirmed that his new bundle of joy will be a baby boy.

Tyler Perry Reportedly Expecting Baby with Gelila Bekele

While promoting his new role in the highly-anticipated movie version of Gone Girl, the media mogul and filmmaker sat in interview rounds with Neil Patrick Harris and Rosamund Pike. He might have been tired from a whole day of press, because he revealed the sex of his new baby with on-and-off girlfriend, Gelila Bekele.

"The greatest gift that I'm being given right now is the opportunity to give the "little boy" in me everything that I've never had, so that's what I'm so excited about," Perry told Extra.

 

He continued that he is excited to meet his new son. "This beautiful human being that God is allowing to come into my life for me to get to know, because they come in their own personalities and who they are, and just shepherd and usher him-I said "him."

Perry then looked to his cast mates in shock, as he let something so vital slip out. The 45-year-old is notoriously private about his personal life. In fact, many fans did not even know he had a girlfriend until reports surfaced last week that she was pregnant with his child.

Though he did not say her name, he told the Associated Press that the two are elated over to start this new chapter of their lives. "We're good. Very happy. She's excited, I'm excited so we're very happy,"
