Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) secret is finally out in the open completely on The Bold and the Beautiful, but the effects of it becoming common knowledge will have a shocking consequence.

Rick Demanda To Know What's Going On Between Ridge & Caroline

After his father, Eric (John McCook) is informed that his son lost the ability to draw after his accident in Abu Dhabi, and has been working with Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) to get his designs done, Eric will make a shocking decisions about the future of the company-although his decision won't be about Ridge's fate.

"I'm stepping down. I'm stepping down," he says to Ridge, Rick (Jacob Young) and Caroline in a preview clip for the Thursday, Oct. 9 episode.

Rick Fires Ridge

And though his two sons will both initially be shocked by his decision, Rick won't take long to seize on the opportunity to have Ridge punished for lying about his condition for months-and will try to convince his father to throw Ridge out of the business and allow him and his wife to take over.

'Caroline and I can run Forrester," Rick says in the clip. "We're the future dad. The future's already begun."

Rick may speaking too quickly about he and his wife's ability to run things however, as her working so closely with Ridge has resulted in her feeling differently about her husband-and started making her see her brother-in-law in a whole new light.

"Ridge, I think I'm feeling something that I shouldn't be feeling," she says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
