Carrie Underwood's pregnancy is bound to be the source of some jokes this November when the country singer hosts the CMA Awards, but for now all this talk of babies has the Country Music Association looking back instead of forward with their latest CMA ad.

Carrie Underwood & Husband Mike Fisher Disagree On Hunting

Last week the Country Music Association released a spoof video (featured below) of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood's "first" time hosting the award program. Since it's their seventh year hosting the show, the ad teased that the pair have essentially been doing this all their lives.

"Remember how it all started?" Paisley asked Underwood at the start of the 45-second preview, at which point the ad shimmered into a flashback of two children, meant to be the stars, hosting the CMA Awards in their basement in front of a few friends.

With taped together signs and a projector listing the musical guests, the young duo showed off real-life yearbook photos of Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, and Blake Shelton as children before the projector went up in flames.

With young Paisley calling for his mother and little Underwood shrugging, the flashback shifted back to the present-day stars, who fondly recalled their faux humble beginnings. After Underwood made a joke about her co-star's "mommy" Paisley shook his head and replied rather solemnly "that was the day our house burned down."

The "look back" might be a way to transition smoothly forward into the upcoming show, which will happen to feature a rather pregnant Underwood. While the star has already showed off her baby bump at performances over the last month, this will be the singer's first chance to put her comic chops to the test with a little one in tow.

The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
