Some big names appeared in the New York City marathon that will likely become a memorable event.

On Sunday, Forbes mentioned some celebrities who participated in the marathon, including former NFL running back Tiki Barber, Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher and Top Chef winner Richard Blais. Commissioner Adam Silver was also expected to lead a group of former NBA players in a relay. It's probably a decent idea to have Silver in the lead for this since he is a two-time New York City marathon runner who's finished.

The Hollywood Reporter pointed out a couple of other celebrities in the marathon, including 30 Rock star Katrina Bowden and MasterChef judge Joe Bastianich. The site said that there were about 50,000 people who finished the marathon on Sunday.
