His legal problems were a big focus when he arrived as a part of the cast for Return to Amish earlier this year, and it appears that despite his seeming to get his life on track, Andrew Schmucker is once again in hot water.

Original 'Breaking Amish' Cast Returning For New Season?

The star of the Breaking Amish franchise, who married his cancer-stricken English girlfriend Chapel in the show's season finale over the summer, was allegedly arrested earlier this year for violating the terms of his probation by failing a urine test and has now been sentenced to seven months in a state institution, seven months in a drug/alcohol program and seven months in a halfway house and transition home, the Courier Express reports.

It is unclear how the sentencing will affect his appearance on a new season of the show, which is reportedly filming now with he and the rest of the original cast-brother Abe and his wife, Rebecca, Kate, Sabrina and Jeremiah-though TLC cameras were reportedly on-hand for the sentencing and filming it for the show.

Chapel Continues To Fight Her Cancer

"About four weeks ago, we received a request from the producer, Keaton Smith of Hot Snakes Productions," Chad Weaver, the Jefferson County Court Administrator told the news organization. "They were very professional and very considerate. They explained what they wanted to do and requested permission from the Court to film the actual proceedings. That was not acceptable to judge Foradora. A waiver to film on location was granted by the commissioners, Sheriff Gotwald and Judge Foradora to film outside the courthouse."

Though it is unlikely the arrest and sentencing would affect the show's return, Schmucker's legal troubles are only the latest to affect the stars of a TLC series. Joann Wells of Gypsy Sisters was arrested in September and pleaded guilty to felony fraud charges after swindling a Target store out of more than $14,000. More recently, the network cancelled the wildly popular series Here comes Honey Boo Boo after the matriarch, Mama June, began to date her ex-boyfriend, convicted child molester Mark McDaniel again.
