Baby Hope returns to The Originals on The CW next week, but the reunion won't be easy for her hybrid parents Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

Baby Hope Returns To 'The Originals'

Having already shot the two-episode arc featuring the return of Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Hope, Morgan explored the future of the Mikaelson family with TV Line on Monday (featured below).

"There's some really great moments of levity but also some really sort of heartwarming stuff for the family coming back together," noted the actor, who said that it's great to see the dynamic between Klaus, Rebekah, and their brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies). "There's a rapport with three of us," he added.

Rebekah will be bringing Hope back to New Orleans for Episodes 8 and 9 and the pair are sure to bring some trouble along with them.

"I can only speculate that her [Hope's] return may mean that they're not quite as safe as they thought they were…" explained Morgan. "They're going to have to work very hard to keep their generation of the family safe."

As far as filming with a baby on-set, the actor admitted that the real babies they worked with were far more endearing than the "fake" doll they used for select scenes.

"It was really fun. We have twins who play Hope Mikaelson who are really, really sweet," said Morgan. Pausing, he then added, "And, we have a very frightening fake baby that they use occasionally if the baby is upset or it's a wide shot or anything dangerous of course, where we can't use a real baby."

"We use this fake baby which is actually quite terrifying," Morgan continued, choosing his words carefully as to create an accurate description. "It doesn't look like a real baby to me, it looks like something that should sort of come alive at night and stalk you with a knife." Upon giving this description, Morgan noted that such a terrifying child would be "fitting" for the Mikaelson family.

At the request of TVLine's Andy Swift, Morgan delved into Hope's precise origins, going into the math to determine what exactly the child will grow into. After some diving up of supernatural capabilities, he determined that Hope is 7/10 werewolf, 2/10 vampire, and 1/10 witch, a combination which certainly makes for a most unique creature even by The CW's standards. She also has overprotective hybrid parents, which will make for quite an upbringing.

The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
