While it is still sitting at one movie, the recent number from toy sales show that little girls are still majorly infatuated with Frozen and it won't be stopping anytime soon. But what does that mean for Disney moving forward?

Could The Plot Of 'Frozen Fever' Lead Into The Sequel?

USA Today released numbers on Tuesday that showed how massively popular Frozen is with girls buying dolls. The numbers show that Frozen dolls are now beating out Barbie for the most desired item on most Christmas lists.

This finding comes from the National Retail Federation, which polled parents to find out what they were purchasing for their kids this holiday season. The survey has been taken annually for the past 11 years, and Barbie has always been at the top of the pile.

Is Disney Not Planning On Making A Second 'Frozen' Ever?

Frozen dolls were the response for 20 percent of the 6,593 consumers surveyed between Nov. 3 and Nov. 10. Barbie only scored 16.8 percent.

The organization also did a poll on Halloween to see what kids were dressing up as and 2.6 million reported that they would be princesses from Frozen.

Will this craze end soon? Probably not. Even though Disney has been quiet on making a sequel to the film in theaters, they have found a way around that and have pushed the brand on consumers in just about every other way.

While the studio has been strictly original content with Tangled and Wreck-It-Ralph, the massive popularity of Frozen begs the question whether they should consider entering the sequel game soon as the brand is clearly not going away any time in the near future.
