Even though he said that the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie won't tie-in with whatever is happening with The Avengers, did James Gunn just tip his hand with a recent picture he posted on Instagram?

Could Emily Blunt Play This Superhero For Marvel?

The director took to Instagram on Monday to post a picture from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy. The picture, as Gunn described, is one of the panels in the temple of Morag. The photo clearly shows the colors of the infinity stones that Thanos will be after once the third Avengers comes along.

But where are the colors now? The blue one is Loki's scepter and is currently in a research facility that Baron Von Strucker owns and is housing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch before their appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

One New Phase 3 Marvel Movie Will Be Important In 'Avengers 3' & 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

The red was last seen in Thor: The Dark World and was supposed to be in The Collector's collection before the explosion of the museum during Guardians of the Galaxy. This could either mean that no one has it or Thanos may already have his hands on it.

The blue/green one is symbolizing the Tesseract, which is in a crypt in Asgard after Thor took it back when he returning Loki to his homeworld. The purple one is the orb from Guardians and is currently in the hands of the Nova Corps.

This signals that until the third Avengers, we should see a yellow and green device that will be the final two stones that Thanos needs for the Infinity Gauntlet. Does that mean the Avengers could be looking for information on the stones and heading to Morag?

It could be. The best guess would be that either the Guardians or Thor could go looking first, but it could be a location they go meet at in order to understand what they're up against.
