Fans have been eagerly awaiting some news about what to expect when Looking returns to HBO in January 2015 for its second season, and while major specifics are still being kept secret, the cast and crew are assuring fans that the wait was worth it.

Patrick, Dom & Agustin Try To Escape Their Problems In Season Premiere

"There's a lot happening in the second season," Murray Bartlett, who portrays Dom on the show, said in a new behind-the-scenes featurette video. "We go deeper into the characters, deeper into all the storylines."

Russell Tovey, who portrays Patrick's (Jonathon Groff) boss Kevin, also assures that what happens on the show will be extremely provocative.

Patrick Finds Himself Torn Between Kevin & Ritchie?

"There's a lot happening this season that are going to make you pick up a phone, call your friends, and have deep discussions," he said.

The show, which follows the struggle of three gay men-Dom, Patrick, and Agustin (Frankie J. Alvarez)--as they try to find love and success in modern-day San Francisco, is also promising to be somewhat exciting as well.

"The fans expect fireworks. This season is full of really fun new worlds and we're just expanding on what we built last season," Raul Castillo, who portrays Richie, said.

The show's ability to produce the promised fireworks however will be because of the new additions to it this time around. Not only have more characters been added to the cast, but the series took scenes to new places and locations as well for a more diverse look at the city it calls home. However, it won't take away from the core elements the show was built on.

"We were pretty ambitious this season, we had a lot of new locations, new characters," Michael Lannan, the Executive Producer and Creator said. "I think it's a challenge to keep all these stories going while still keeping that sense of intimacy from the first season."

"The relationship between those three guys [Dom, Patrick and Agustin] is the heart of the show and I think it's always important to reestablish that and show those guys together," he added.

Looking season 2 premieres Sunday, Jan. 11 at 10 p.m. on HBO.
