Miranda Lambert was the only woman honored at the CMT Artists of the Year ceremony this week, but has the singer's striking weight loss detracted from her success as an artist? Or added to it?

The Somethin' Bad singer was all but left out of the Rolling Stone article which detailed the ceremony on Wednesday and when Us Weekly covered her attendance of the Nashville ceremony, they focused mostly on her toned legs and fitted white dress.

Lambert has certainly had herself quite a year in country music, from her hit single Somethin' Bad going platinum to winning big at the CMA Awards.

Featured on FOX's Celebrity Weight Loss Winners List Thursday, it was noted that the singer was more concerned about being healthy than slimming down for the sake of social convention.

"People think I lost more, but I'm short," noted Lambert in a 2013 interview with People. "I'm only 5'4" so when I gain, I gain everywhere, and when I lose, I lose everywhere."

The singer explained that she'd just tried to "cut everything in half" when it came to portions to develop a healthier lifestyle. She also claimed that her husband "never had a problem" with her weight and has said she's beautiful "at any size and every size."

The weight loss has certainly drawn attention to Lambert over the last year and the attention is always good for record sales, but has it distracted from her accomplishments as an artist? Has more emphasis been put on it than was the case for country artist Tim McGraw, who also lost weight this year?

Perhaps fans will just have to wait to find out.
