Johnny Manziel is in the headlines a lot, but it never seems to be for actually playing football.

Johnny Manziel Reportedly Didn't Get To Start During Sunday's Game Against The Colts Since 'He Was With The Cavs' Tuesday Night

On Monday night, Cleveland reported that the Cincinnati Bengals coach, Marvin Lewis, called the Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback "a midget" while chatting during a radio interview with WLW-AM in Cincinnati.

There is speculation that Manziel might get to start in the upcoming game versus the Bengals on Sunday, Dec. 14, as reported by ESPN. Coach Mike Pettine said Manziel is "absolutely" ready to start during a press conference on Monday also reported by ESPN. That led to the radio host Lance McAlister asking about the preparation behind facing Manziel.

Lewis said to McAlister, "You'll get a little bit more movement if Manziel's the quarterback. The thing that they did against Buffalo. But other than that, no, that doesn't impact you at all. You've got to defend the offense. You don't defend the player, particularly a midget."

Later on, Lewis issued an apology, which Cleveland further reported on. He stated, "I apologize to Johnny and the Browns and all the fans in Cleveland. It was just a poor remark. I really didn't mean anything by it."

Brian Hoyer is currently the Browns starting QB and he holds a 2-0 record against the Bengals so it should be announced soon who will definitely be starting between him and Manziel for this upcoming Sunday's game.
